Speichert CO₂ dauerhaft mit Kohlenstoffsenken-Technologie

The Concrete Innovation Group

By founding the Concrete Innovation Group, we are breaking new ground and making our technology and expertise accessible to as many people as possible, because climate protection can only be achieved together. With c-ton® technology, we offer one of the most emission-intensive industries an innovative solution for reducing and offsetting emissions.

We have built up our expertise along the entire value chain: From the reduction of emissions in the production process, the use of more sustainable input materials and energies to the optimization of the additive and its incorporation into existing formulations.

Our Vision

Material innovation and climate protection are the cornerstones of our actions. Our aim is to reduce emissions from concrete block production to the point where they are completely neutralized. In doing so, we consider the entire value chain and are guided by the following principles:

Reduction - The greatest possible reduction in emissions, e.g. through CO₂-reduced cements and the switch to green electricity, comes before the use of innovative offsetting technologies.

Offsetting - Unavoidable residual emissions from production and concrete input materials are 100% offset using innovative carbon sink technology.

Recycling - At the end of their life cycle, the concrete blocks are fully recyclable. The additive from the carbon sink technology forms a bond with the concrete matrix when it is added and remains permanently bound.

Our Mission

Our aim is to further develop and license c-ton® technology for the German and European market. To this end, we have set up a license model that should enable as many manufacturers as possible to use c-ton® technology.

Climate protection in the core business

We support licensees in adding innovative products to their product ranges and offsetting emissions within their own value chain.

Insetting instead of external compensation

We believe that climate protection encourages people to rethink their own actions and break new ground. Offsetting emissions in our own process and not outsourcing climate protection is what drives us and what we want to enable others to do.

Future-oriented innovation

We are convinced that we are not only contributing to climate protection but also to future-oriented economic efficiency and that our solution provides an answer to the shortage of raw materials, resource efficiency, rising CO₂ prices and upcoming environmental legislation and regulations.

The Technology

The Concrete Innovation Group's c-ton® technology turns concrete blocks into CO₂ reservoirs. By using carbon sink technology, the products offset their production emissions and store CO₂ permanently.

Through intensive research and development in cooperation with our partners, we have succeeded in producing concrete blocks that offset 100% of the emissions of all concrete input materials, including cement, as well as the entire production process and permanently store CO₂.

By using a recognized carbon capture technology, an innovative CO₂-storing raw material is used for concrete production instead of external offsetting.

Our products meet the same technical standards as traditional concrete blocks. They are used in public open spaces, gardens and landscaping, can contribute to municipal sustainability strategies and meet CO₂-saving requirements for urban planners, architects and building owners.
